Help on the same desk as chat and workflows

Publish a FAQ and docs site for your product — collections you name, search, and readable articles on your-workspace.coveinbox.co (or a custom host you verify). The same pages open in the Cove messenger. Leftover questions start a chat with the article attached. That is help on one desk, not a second CMS.

Why a public URL still matters

Repeated questions should not wait in the queue.

A shareable help URL lets someone search refund, shipping, or hours without opening chat — and it can rank. When the article is not enough, they can still start a thread with the page they were reading. That is Help Scout Docs logic on a smaller site: one workspace, one URL.

It is not a required search gate. It is a FAQ and docs site at your-workspace.coveinbox.co — or a custom host after DNS verifies — wired into the same desk that answers chat. Plus can draft from those pages with Cove Agent. A person still sends. Visitors can always talk to a person.

How it works

Write once. Publish. Leftover questions become chat.

  1. Write once

Title, collection, body, publish. Drafts stay off the public URL and out of the messenger. Collections are names you choose — not a five-brand Guide stack.

  2. They read a real site

Search, collections, and a table of contents when the article has headings. Connect help.yourdomain.com with a CNAME. Status is pending until DNS or TLS actually checks out.

  3. Still need help becomes chat

Not a wall. The thread can start with the article they were reading. Prefer that over forcing a search before a person answers.

The public URL

{slug}.coveinbox.co

Each workspace gets that host. A custom domain is optional and stays pending until we verify it. See Cove’s own help for the shape. Public help URL is listed from Essentials. Articles in the messenger are on every plan.

atlas.coveinbox.co — a FAQ site, not a setup clock.

In the messenger

Same articles. Different surface.

Helpdesk is this public site. Help in the messenger is the Articles tab inside the chat panel. Write once; both use it. Hide Help in Widget if a workspace has nothing published. On Plus, the inbox can draft a reply from the same pages — a person still sends.

Who it is for

A public FAQ you can share and rank, tied to the same desk that answers chat. Startups and product teams that do not need Zendesk Guide with five brands, or Help Scout Docs with multiple sites and custom domains.

Who it is not for

Not a community forum. Not a billed-per-view knowledge product. Custom hosts work after CNAME + verification — we do not fake “connected.”

If you already have Guide or Docs

Move to Cove if you want one help site per workspace — a Cove subdomain, optional verified CNAME — plus the same pages in the messenger. That is the switch from a multi-brand Guide stack or an email-native Docs product.

Workspace pricing. Public help URL from Essentials. No per-article-view meter. See pricing.
